Anxiety is a normal emotion that is part of being human. When you experience anxiety, know that you are not alone - we all have it. Sometimes, anxiety can be helpful; for example feeling a certain level of anxiety about catching your flight could ensure that you pay attention to the time or set an alarm so that you leave on time. For some of us, anxiety can become less than helpful. It can start to control our feelings, our actions and our decision-making. It can start to negatively affect our relationships and leave us feeling alone and depressed.
Here at the Encouragemint Center, we want you to feel inspired that anxiety is manageable. Your brain is in charge of your emotions, and it is a muscle that can grow, strengthen and change. As you learn and practice new skills , you will find that your anxiety improves and you start to feel more in control.
